Memory Landscapes
During the lockdown of 2020, when movement was restricted, most travelling took place in the imagination. I started a series of pictures based on memories and impressions of particular places. Sometimes assisted by studies in my sketch books – and usually by the music I‘m listening to – the sense of a place becomes more important than what it may actually look like.
